BACKGROUND
Character history: For the first half of her life Yuuko mainly led a normal life with normal hobbies with normal friends and a normal family. Normality was okay because 'excitement' has many ways it could go wrong. And then, in her last year of high school, Yuuko accidentally found magic in the form of an antique book intended as a birthday present for her father. From there, a whole new world opened to her and suddenly, normal was no longer enough.

Over the following years, Yuuko got further and further involved into the business of the youkai/demon world and there she flourished. She transformed from a sort of mousy, plain girl to an extroverted, confident woman with a new appreciation for her worth in the world. Eventually, in her early/mid-twenties she ended up apprenticing to a magic draining shop to youkai in exchange for knowledge and this lasted for a few years before, one day, the previous owner was gone and it was only Yuuko.

Yuuko took over the shop and improved the magic draining/dealing business, turning it from a little second-rate, tucked away shop to a solid, respectable (or at least, as respectable as could be expected) business, complete with an apothecary side business. However, it is rumored that she is involved in other, much shadier businesses of the questionably legal standards, even by non-human standards.

Personality:

Yuuko is a laid-back but part-amoral-part-hedonistic woman. Her moral compass is fairly fluid due to the environments she's been in so she tends to simplify things like "good", "bad", or even "shades of grey" into what effects it has on her while believing others have the right to look out for their own desires. Though she doesn't let go of the 'little' or 'ethically dubious' details, it's not for her to judge, - she might even help you bury the body. While this can be a 'kind' trait at times, she can also be cruel about it.

She's fairly chill and que sera sera for the most part but when it comes to business matters or survival she can flip modes with scary ease. She may throw out a justification or so but when it comes down to it, it's simply that she considers herself more important. Nothing personal and what's done is done (though this attitude arguably makes it worse).

Appearance: Yuuko's about 5'6 (5'9 in heels though) with bleached blond hair, usually tied up in a ponytail while at work, and brown eyes. She's fairly attractive and fashionably conscious, usually wearing accessories, a small plant or flower on her lapel (for that occasional boost), and a pair of tinted glasses simply because they look pretty.

She also has a tattoo with a rose wrapped around a key on her right shoulder blade, which you can occasionally catch sight of with the strapless shirts she occasionally wears. The key part of the tattoo looks curiously faded somewhat and the tattoo matches a symbol carved onto her shop's sign.
